Are there any Adobe sound editors like WavePad Master’s Edition?

Do you know WavePad? Well, I want an Adobe software as awsome as WavePad Master’s Edition. I’ve heard about SoundBooth, but I’m not sure if its sound editing is as elaborate as WavePad’s. I know Adobe products are very professional sofwares, you know, for people who know their job. Adobe Photoshop costs an arm and a leg (and an eye LOL) and it assures you a VERY wide range of edit options for pictures. I just wanted to know if there was something like photoshop, except, for audio editing.
