<a href="http://dolphinhosting.net">Dolphin Hosting</a>

I am a business guy who knows what I want in a site. Between the modules that are easy to install, themes that you can make slight modifications to by manipulating the CSS and some free and paid videos, you don't need to be a programmer.

Sure, it's not nearly as easy as other Content Management Systems (CMS), but there is a lot more you can do. That's why more and more major media firms are going with Drupal. Nice to know the small guy can play on the same level with Drupal.

Additionally, the community of Drupal programmers is robust. Just as long as you know some basics and can adequately document your issue, you will get help! Drupal.org is a great resource for that.

Lullubot is a team of Drupal ninjas that offer training. However a search in Google Videos will bring a host of free Drupal videos on everything from install to theme development.

Lastly, I suggest that you look into the Acquia distribution of Drupal. It pre-installs a handful of modules that most feel are required elements. There are also some nice features that connect to commercial services. Acquia is a for-profit venture that the founder of Drupal is involved with, however you don't have to spend a dime to get 99.9% of the features in their install.

Best of luck!

Knowledge of php language is preferred. It's hard to start learning drupal more than joomla or wordpress.
