maya and adobe cs3 compatible to both mac and pc?

i have maya and adobe cs3 on my pc(windows) desktop and im planning to buy the new imac.. so i was wondering if these software will work on the imac. are these software compatible with both or do i have to get the mac version of maya or adobe for instance?

It’s a funny question to answer. Simply because your new Mac will run the Mac OS and the Windows OS if you want.
If you run Boot Camp (or some other dual boot software, like Parallels) on your new iMac, you can install Windows XP or Vista and it will run without a hitch. Maya and CS3 should run exactly the same as before. It’s not emulation, you’re running Windows natively, so performance shouldn’t be hindered unless your old PC had a really fast graphics card (I personally find the iMac graphics card lacking in speed) because the processors in the iMac are pretty darn good, though I think you’re going to want to max out the RAM.
Maya and Adobe CS3 are both available for Mac OS X too, but you’d have to buy those as Mac versions. You can’t install Windows software and run it in on the Mac kernel.
