What kind of video editing software the pros use?

I was just watching the hills and i always get the urge to create something professional like that. i’ve used adobe premire elements before… it’s nice but i want something more complex. i like to add my own touch to things and make them super original. any ideas of video editing software?! what do the professionals use for movies and tv shows?

Well, most professionals use several programs, not just one single program. There are very few ‘magic’ software programs that will do everything, editing, producing, visual effects and sound editing. What most professionals use are: Sony Vegas Pro, Apple Final Cut Pro, and sometimes Adobe Premiere Pro. (Notice how they all have ‘Pro’ in their names, as if to reassure you!)
It really does differ from corporation to corporation, however the one that I consider the ‘most’ professional would be Sony Vegas Pro. Just looking at the screenshots gets you dizzy!
